Dr. Joselin D. Tacastacas
Dr. Joselin D. Tacastacas joined Dermatology Specialists on August 1, 2017. She completed her Dermatology residency at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and served as the Chief Resident of Dermatology at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is board certified in Dermatology.
Dr. Tacastacas originally graduated from medical school and completed a Dermatology residency program at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. After moving to the US, she completed an Internal Medicine residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Before pursuing dermatology, Dr. Tacastacas worked as a primary care physician in Lebanon, VA and Grants Pass, OR for 6 ½ years. Afterwards, she worked as a research fellow at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for 3 years, focusing on cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and other skin cancers, and has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Tacastacas practices General Dermatology with special interest in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and other skin cancers. She enjoys international travel, medical missions, and singing in her church choir. She lives in Williamsburg with her husband, Jessie, and their youngest daughter, Elenore. Her eldest daughter, Erlein, will pursue Optometry at Ohio State University in Columbus.
